Over the past few weeks, a group of people have been vandalizing township property at the ballfield on Sinking Creek. Reports of multiple trucks at night driving around the outer field causing large ruts in the soft ground. A large chain was also found run into the ground behind the smaller field backstop. Please keep an eye out if you are in this area, and report any suspicious behavior to the state police.

Thank you all for sharing your frustration, concerns, and suggestions. A report was filed with the police and we have added it to our agenda for our meeting tomorrow night. I will keep you updated.
March 8, 2018 Constable Grove
As a newly elected Constable in Gregg Township, I wish that the township would have included me in this report of vandalism over the apparent weeks that this went on for. I don’t like to see this stuff happen to our properties. Peacekeeping is a basic duty of a Constable and is at no cost to the township. There are a number of common sense comments from taxpayers on this thread regarding this issue. It would have been nice to have been able to figure out or deter who was doing this, and to arrange for them to provide some service to return the property to its original state. I do not want to see people necessarily arrested, esp youths. There are more reasonable ways to deal with victimless crimes. Although, it would be the township’s authority that would press official charges or not. That’s how it used to be done when I was a kid.
